Airex a pioneering Climate Tech Start UP, has developed the world's first smart air brick solution, an innovative, patented technology aimed at reducing heat demand while maintaining indoor air quality at healthy levels in residences. The genesis of Airex's innovation stems from the founders' fervent dedication to combating fuel poverty and addressing climate change, even in the most developed regions of the world. This unwavering commitment prompted a collaborative research project with esteemed academic researcher Dr. Sofie Pelsmakers, revealing an underappreciated source of heat loss in buildings: air bricks. In 2016, Airex secured R&D government grant funding through Innovate UK's "Energy Game Changer" program, enabling the assembly of a proficient team of engineers and product designers who crafted the initial prototypes. These early trials underscored the technology's significant potential, compelling Airex to pursue commercialization. Subsequent rounds of Innovate UK R&D grant funding facilitated further product development, preparing them for a path to scalability. In 2020, Airex achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing the UK's first ECO Demonstration Action program, approved by Ofgem. This extensive field trial, analyzing over 6 million data points, independently validated Airex's ability to reduce heat loss by 12% while preserving optimal humidity levels. Airex's dedication to innovation was recognized in 2021 when they were honored with the "Energy Entrepreneur Award" by BEIS, securing substantial government support to reconfigure their operations for mass production and scaling.

Our smart skips have a sensor inside them to monitor the amount of waste inside the skip. They talk to our inhouse software and automaticaaly re route one of our vans if the van is in the area and there is waste inside the skip. We operate in vans and we only charge for what we collect. The main idea is it gives customers space for their waste as we dont let the skip get full, it also makes us efficiant as we collect waste when we are in the area. We have these skips in over 70 jewsons sites and now we are looking to market these further so any help would be appreciated. We are attending homes with a smart skip too.
