The Government’s consultation on the Decent Homes Standard (DHS) is the first major review of housing quality rules since 2006. With more than 1 in 10 social homes and 1 in 5 private rented homes currently failing to meet the existing standard, this consultation is a pivotal opportunity to redefine what “decent” means today and how it will be governed. This session brings together tenants, housing associations and policy experts to debate the future of the DHS and the systems needed to deliver it.
