Beyond EPC C: Bridging the gap between policy targets and retrofit realities
Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) remain central to national retrofit policy, but the reality of achieving EPC C by 2030 across all homes is proving complex, costly and sometimes misaligned with decarbonisation goals. This session examines how the housing sector and researchers are grappling with the limitations of EPCs and how new tools, funding and approaches could better support the move toward real-world performance in decarbonising heat.
