The SIG I-House system incorporating Celcon Elements is the latest evolution in masonry building. Already proving successful on site, with over 300 units already built and occupied, both in social housing and for private companies, the system is intended for the construction of domestic houses of up to two storey with room in the roof. The system replaces the structure of the inner leaf of external cavity walls, separating walls and internal partition walls, with storey height Celcon Elements.

It ticks the off-site boxes, whilst delivering a solution built with traditional products and using on-site skills. The house is erected in just five days, taking the external blockwork off the critical path and allowing follow-on trades to begin work immediately. There is no compromise on quality and homes built using the I-House method and the Celcon Elements are aircrete and manufactured from the same intrinsic material, they have the same performance advantages, including excellent thermal performance with reduced heat loss at thermal bridges.
