In this candid and wide-ranging interview, we’ll ask the Housing Ombudsman for his reflections on the sector’s progress with addressing critical issues such as disrepair and tenant engagement. What are the examples of best practice or areas of continued concern? From culture and leadership to tenant stigma and racial inequalities, this session is one not to miss.
Discussion areas will include:
• What can be done to support social landlords who embrace the Ombudman’s recommendations around ‘zero tolerance’ to damp and mould, but struggle with realistic delivery?
• Following the spotlight report, what can we learn from improvements that are being made to implement good governance and information management in the sector?
• How can social landlords embrace the new ‘skilled’ standards at a time of chronic talent shortages?
