This session will look at the regeneration activity taking place in cities and towns to create thriving places, whilst implementing decarbonisation activity at scale. How can competing agendas become complementary agendas when a broader holistic approach to place-based decarbonisation is developed.
• Moving from component-based home upgrades to decarbonsing places - funding is focused on upgrading EPC’s, so how do we scale up?
• How do we use infrastructure upgrades to benefit all – commercial, domestic, public and retail spaces
• Great British Energy – what would the likely impact be of the Government proposed programme to build cheaper, cleaner power in cities, towns and villages?
• Recommendations from the Unlock Net Zero cities, placemaking, living and the net zero challenge report.
