Accelerating building safety remediation
Seven years after the Grenfell tragedy and recent figures show that remediation work has not yet started on half of the housing blocks that have unsafe cladding. Labour has announced that they will introduce a plan to accelerate remediation, yet the sector awaits the details.
This session will explore some of the issues that are currently holding up remediation and how they can be addressed. Crucially, you will hear from those who are successfully delivering a remediation programme at pace and what the sector can learn from their experience. How are they balancing speed with quality of delivery and cost? How are they engaging residents and other stakeholders effectively to achieve the best outcomes for all?
